Taylor Johnson is a passionate and results-oriented fundraiser, consultant, and leader with 8 years of experience in the industry. As EPIC Mission’s Fundraising Specialist, she aims to use her passion and skills to empower all people and pursue positive community change to flourish. She is dedicated to high-quality programs and solutions because she believes deeply in the intrinsic worth of those being served. She is compelled in her work to pursue communities that are more inclusive and uplifting to all its members.
In addition to her EPIC Mission role, Taylor currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Flagship Equip, Inc. Prior to joining the EPIC team, Taylor was a Development Officer for the University of Florida Foundation for three and a half years, during which she raised $1.7 million toward essential programs, student scholarships, and capital projects. She also was a grant writer/evaluator with Girls Place, Inc.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences and a Master of Science in Leadership Development, both earned from the University of Florida. In February 2022, she received her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) accreditation. As a graduate student, she collaborated with professors to create an evaluation instrument for youth organizations to measure their effectiveness in developing leadership skills regardless of their priority curriculum. This tool is being implemented throughout several 4-H programs in the state of Florida. To bolster the “textbook knowledge” she gained while earning her degrees, she has worked and volunteered for several different nonprofit organizations in a variety of capacities from collaborating with the administration team to committing her time as a volunteer. She currently volunteers with the Navy-Marine Corps Belief Society and is a Family Readiness Assistant for her husband’s unit. Taylor also serves as Secretary on the 127 Worldwide Board of Directors and is a member of the University of Florida FYCS Advisory Council.
Taylor is a Florida native who recently relocated to Southern California with her husband, Matt, who is a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. In her leisure time, she enjoys exercising, being outdoors, listening to podcasts, and drinking iced coffee.
