Jeremy Turner is a sought-after coach, consultant, speaker, trainer, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience. He has facilitated organizational and community change in various leadership roles within the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, ranging from industry giants to grassroots startup ventures.
At the heart of his work is a small town kid who wants to give back to Heroes doing amazing work across Appalachia and beyond. He aims to serve others and those who serve others. It wasn’t until recently that Jeremy even realized that he was living the hero’s journey himself. Growing up in West Virginia, he doesn’t recall ever thinking about what life would be like as a changemaker consultant. Who does? Throughout his personal life and professional career, he has always rooted and fought for the underdogs. He often noticed how those who were quietly doing the most good were often the ones who could benefit most from professional guidance if they could only find someone who would take notice and journey with them. EPIC Mission was born to fill a gap and solve a need Jeremy noticed so that Heroes everywhere could have someone in their corner they can count on. The EPIC “why” is Jeremy’s “why” as well.

Jeremy’s life forever changed when he answered the call and founded EPIC Mission in 2013. As EPIC Mission’s Founder, CEO, and Chief Strategist, Jeremy uses his passionate curiosity and practical expertise to provide a helping hand to clients while improving the communities around him and everyone associated with EPIC Mission. His areas of expertise include board development, business and nonprofit operations, succession planning, leadership development, strategic planning, organizational development and social enterprise development.

His love for entrepreneurship, social impact, and helping others resonates within his most recent startup projects: Co-Founder of Huntington, WV’s first coworking space, CoWorks, and assisting his alma mater Marshall University with the launch of the West Virginia Innovation and Business Model Competition (WVIBMC). He has also served as a Business Coach and Faculty member of the West Virginia Governor’s School of Entrepreneurship, a no-cost, 3-week intensive summer program open to all rising 10th-12th grade students across the state. Jeremy also realized a childhood dream when he first stepped into the college classroom as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Marshall University’s Lewis College of Business beginning in 2018. Continuing in this vein, Jeremy continues to pursue his passion as an educator by teaching for an online community college called Campus.

In addition to his ongoing pursuit of knowledge, Jeremy earned his B.A. in Psychology from Marshall University and an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise from Louisiana State University at Shreveport. He has earned several certifications, including: DISC-Certified Behavioral Consultant, the Entrepreneurship Center Management (ECM) Certificate from InBIA, and LEANStack Certified Mentor. Over the years, he has served on dozens of nonprofit boards, including Create Huntington; RCBI Business Accelerator; Ten50; and the Board of Advisors for the Marshall University Lewis College of Business Division of Marketing, MIS and Entrepreneurship and the Marshall University Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation (iCenter). Most recently, Jeremy has served as an Executive-in-Residence within the Lewis College of Business at Marshall, and a Visiting Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Entrepreneurship Program at Marietta College.

When he isn’t busy with his EPIC Mission and other duties, Jeremy loves spending time at home or traveling with his wife and son, golfing, reading, practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, tinkering around the house, or dreaming up new plans for world domination.
